WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Andrew Clyde (GA-09) issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s release of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization opinion, overturning Roe v. Wade in a 6-3 decision, returning the issue of abortion back to the states, and saving millions of innocent lives.

“Hallelujah! Praise God! I applaud the Supreme Court for rightfully repealing Roe v. Wade, destroying the nearly five decades-long unconstitutional ruling of the federal court that justified the murder of millions of innocent babies. Today’s decision marks a major victory in the fight to protect the first and most fundamental unalienable right — the right to life. I look forward to pro-life states, including my home state of Georgia, valuing life at all stages and enacting legislation to defend the unborn. 

“Furthermore, I commend Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, and Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett for refusing to relinquish their exemplary integrity, judicial philosophy, and sworn oath to the U.S. Constitution in the face of radical, violent, pro-abortion mobs. It is imperative that we protect our Supreme Court Justices and their families as deranged, abortion-obsessed individuals continue to threaten their safety.”
