The Congressional Award is the United States Congress’ award for young Americans. It is a non-partisan, voluntary, and non-competitive program created to recognize outstanding achievement, initiative, and service of young men and women. The challenge is open to all 14- to 24-year-olds, and participants earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold Congressional Award Certificates and Bronze, Silver, and Gold Congressional Award Medals.

Eligibility
The Congressional Award is for young folks in Georgia’s Ninth District. Interested participants are eligible to:
All activities must be completed by participants’ 24th birthday. Americans younger than 13 ½ do not yet qualify for the Congressional Award.
Annual Gold Ceremony
Each summer, Congress honors Gold Medalists at a prestigious ceremony in Washington, D.C. It's a once-in-a-lifetime recognition for youth who complete the program's highest level. Families are invited to join the celebration.
