Rep. Clyde Votes to Support Troops & De-Woke DOD

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Andrew Clyde (GA-09) released the following statement after voting for the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025, which passed this morning by a vote of 217-199:

“As a 28-year Navy combat veteran, ensuring we maintain the most lethal fighting force in the world is one of my top priorities in Congress. Thankfully, House Republicans’ FY25 NDAA accomplishes this goal by funding, equipping, and supporting our great military. Our critical legislation enhances combat readiness, deters Communist China, boosts compensation and improves care for our troops, and puts military families first. Additionally, this year’s NDAA restores lethality by eliminating radical policies that are being forced on our servicemembers by the Biden Administration. As U.S. military recruitment and retention woes persist amidst increasing threats from our adversaries, Congress must eradicate the Left’s woke, weaponized, and wasteful agenda from the DOD. I’m incredibly pleased that the House-passed NDAA not only strengthens our military but refocuses our warfighters back to their core mission of defending our nation and protecting our precious freedoms.”
