Rep. Andrew S. Clyde released the following statement on April 12^th, 2021:

“I congratulate SK Innovation and LG Energy Solution on reaching an amicable agreement to settle their dispute regarding the production of electric vehicle batteries. I understand this agreement will bring an end to all ongoing litigation, including a case with the International Trade Court, which will in turn secure thousands of jobs and billions of dollars-worth of investment in our district.

In addition, this agreement will accelerate the stable operation of SK Innovation’s Plant 1 and help pave the way for the construction of Plant 2. With this investment, Georgia will be well on its way to becoming the nation’s hub for EV battery development.”
