Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Andrew Clyde (GA-09) introduced the Expose Biden’s Inflation, Deficits, and Economic Neglect (BIDEN) Act to hold President Biden accountable for devastating our nation’s economy through his failed policies.
The Expose BIDEN Act will require the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to issue a report indicating which of the Biden Administration’s rules have negatively impacted the economy. While the GAO is preparing the report, there will be a temporary suspension of enforcement of new major rules, and those rules which are determined to hurt the economy will be rescinded. Further, any agency seeking to issue a replacement rule must first certify that the new rule will not result in a decline in GDP or an increase in inflation.
“President Biden’s failed policies have unleashed economic turmoil — burdening Americans with soaring inflation, exacerbating our national debt, and hurling our economy toward a disastrous recession,” said Clyde. “We must hold the White House accountable for recklessly and shamelessly wreaking havoc on our economy in order to advance Democrats’ Big Government Socialist agenda. My Expose BIDEN Act initiates a necessary analysis of the devastation caused by the Biden Administration’s policies and blocks harmful rules from further crushing the American people.”
