Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Andrew Clyde (GA-09) sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding answers about the FBI’s aggressive raid of pro-life advocate Mark Houck’s home in Pennsylvania and condemning the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) blatant bias.
In the letter, Rep. Clyde questions the DOJ’s priorities, “Where was this fervor to protect the safety and rights of all individuals when pro-abortion radicals were torching, vandalizing, and threatening crisis pregnancy centers across the country?”
Rep. Clyde vehemently denounces the DOJ’s glaring prejudice, “The DOJ’s obvious double standard is unethical, and it is in direct opposition to both your Department’s purpose and this nation’s values. Therefore, you must realign your Department’s pursuit of justice with the laws enacted by Congress, irrespective of political agendas.”
“Americans deserve answers regarding the FBI’s politically motivated raid of Mark Houck’s home — as well as their politically motivated disregard for attacks against pro-life organizations,” said Clyde. “The Biden Administration has corrupted the Department of Justice with a two-tiered justice system by treacherously — and shamelessly — advancing their political agenda. Congress must investigate and expose Attorney General Merrick Garland’s pattern of perverse justice before it sows further division and ignites more lawlessness in our nation.”
