Rep. Clyde Announces U.S. DOT INFRA Grant for The Georgia Ports Authority in Hall County. "I am honored to announce that The Georgia Ports Authority (GPA), in partnership with Norfolk Southern Railway and Hall County, has been awarded a $46.8 million grant U.S. DOT INFRA Grant to support the construction of the Northeast Georgia Inland Port along the I-85/I-985 corridor in Hall County. The new Inland Port will link the Ninth District directly to the Port of Savannah, bringing with it significant economic advantages to businesses in North Georgia and the Greater Appalachian Region. Undoubtedly, this smart and targeted investment will bolster communities and businesses across the Ninth District and completion of the Inland Port will be pivotal to ensuring that Georgia remains among the top states for doing business for years to come. I would like to extend my thanks to Governors Deal and Kemp for their vision and commitment to keeping Georgia the number one state in which to do business. I would also like to thank the Hall County State Assembly delegation, the County Commission, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Georgia Ports Authority for the tremendous amount of work put in to move this vital project forward." ### |
