ICE awarded an $86 million contract to a San Antonio based organization that has never received such a significant federal award before, and happened to hire a former Biden staffer in 2020 that served as a DHS/ICE official in the Obama administration. The award to this entity certainly raises eyebrows, but even more so since the contract was non-competitive. I sent a letter to the Acting Director of ICE questioning the process which allowed this contract to be awarded and whether or not any former Biden staffers personally lobbied the Administration to procure the contract.
