Under President Trump’s leadership and in recognition of the 250th anniversary of our great nation, the Salute to America 250 Task Force (“Task Force 250”) is executing an incredible lineup of events for you and your family.

The White House and Freedom 250 have provided an educational video series, The Story of America, along with toolkits featuring patriotic programming suggestions, templates, and activities.

Additionally, Freedom 250 has compiled historical resources celebrating the Founders of our nation. The Founders Museum highlights our Declaration of Independence signers, ladies of the Revolution, and more.

Freedom Trucks | All 48 Contiguous States

To celebrate from sea to shining sea, Freedom 250 has pioneered Freedom Trucks to bring this historic celebration to you. A fleet of six mobile museums, the Freedom Trucks were built to share the story of our American independence to schools, community spaces, and families throughout the country.

In fact, a Freedom Truck is coming to the Ninth District! From June 27-28th, a Freedom Truck will be at the Jefferson Freedom Festival.

Rededicate 250: National Prayer Event | Washington, D.C. 

Americans around the country are invited to attend Rededicate 250: National Prayer Event to praise God for his many blessings, pray for his continued protection for the next 250 years, and rededicate our country as One Nation Under God. Taking place on the National Mall on May 17th, this event will showcase how Christianity has shaped American history, culture, and values. Rededicate 250 will feature popular Christian artists and prayer leaders, providing a once in a lifetime opportunity to celebrate how God has powerfully shaped the United States of America.

Memorial Day National Observance | Arlington, VA

On Memorial Day 2026, Freedom 250 will host numerous events at Arlington National Cemetery, beginning with the Spirit of America Parade honoring the service, sacrifice, and heroism of our fallen soldiers. This will be followed by the Memorial Day Observance Ceremony, which will feature a special tribute to troops across the nation. The evening will culminate in a Candlelight Storytelling Event, where historians will share powerful stories of those laid to rest at Arlington.

Great American State Fair | Washington, D.C. 

The Great American State Fair will take place on the National Mall from June 25th to July 10th, 2026, showcasing culture, cuisine, and contributions from every U.S. state and territory. There will be a collection of traditional fair activities, performances, historical exhibits, and more from the U.S. Capitol to the Washington Monument. With fun for all ages, you and your family are invited to celebrate our nation while enjoying coast-to-coast food, games, and more!

Teddy Roosevelt Presidential Library Opening | Medora, ND

On July 1st, 2026, Americans are invited to the North Dakota Badlands to celebrate our 26th President, Theodore Roosevelt. The Teddy Roosevelt Presidential Library will guide visitors through eight chapters of his life, featuring chronological galleries, interactive exhibits, White House-inspired spaces, and more.

Sail 4th 250 Parade of Tall Ships and International Naval Review | New York Harbor, NY

From July 4th to July 8th, the world’s largest peacetime armada of tall ships and naval vessels from more than 30 countries will sail into New York Harbor. Sail 4th 250 will feature parades, performances, and community gatherings — including fireworks and Blue Angels flyover — to celebrate our nation’s warships and maritime traditions.

Salute to America: The Nation’s 250th Birthday Fireworks Celebration | Washington, D.C. 

On the National Mall and in celebration of America’s 250 Birthday, this event promises a historic display of patriotism. Salute to America will feature keynote remarks from President Trump, headline performances, flyovers, beautiful fireworks, and more. Bring your family to celebrate 250 years of freedom in the heart of our nation’s capital!

Freedom 250 Grand Prix | Washington, D.C.

The Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C., will take place Aug. 22-23, 2026, marking the first‑ever NTT INDYCAR SERIES race on the National Mall. The free, two-day motorsports event will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with world‑class racing set against the backdrop of some of America’s most historic landmarks, including the Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol.

The Patriot Games | Washington, D.C.

This fall, the Patriot Games will be the first-of-its-kind athletic competition celebrating high school athletes from every U.S. state and territory. Each participant will be paired with an inspiring mentor, ranging from public figures to special forces veterans, for a transformative journey of character and competition. One male and one female athlete will split a $250,000 prize. From opening heats to the live final day in front of a live audience, these competitors will light the torch for a new generation of Americans.
