Monday marked the dawn of a new era for America.

With President Donald J. Trump back in the Oval Office and Republican majorities in both the House and Senate, our nation is embarking on an exciting, historic period — one marked by strength, prosperity, and unwavering leadership. 

After four years of open-border chaos, economic decline, and utter weakness from the White House, Americans are ready for real change. The desire for such change is evident in President Trump’s landslide victory, with more than 77 million voters resoundingly rejecting a continuation of the Biden-Harris Administration’s failed policies.

Consequently, Republicans in Washington have a clear mandate from the American people.

It’s now time to deliver on our historic victory by returning America to greatness. With President Trump back at the helm, we can do just that.

The President’s comeback signals a renewed commitment to putting America first, with critical goals of securing our borders, rebuilding our economy, reducing the size and scope of government, and uniting our nation beyond partisan divides. 

At the top of President Trump’s agenda is restoring law and order through strong, decisive immigration policies. The Biden-Harris Administration’s border crisis allowed millions to pour into our country illegally, threatening our national security and destroying our communities. 

Congress must now work with the Trump Administration to seal our borders and carry out mass deportations to remove all illegal aliens from every corner of the country. By strengthening immigration laws and reclaiming our sovereignty, President Trump’s agenda will once again put American citizens first.

An equally important priority is restoring America’s economy.

It’s no secret that the Biden-Harris Administration’s disastrous economic policies devastated our country. Families, small businesses, and all hardworking folks have suffered greatly as the American Dream slips further out of reach.

From cutting taxes to unleashing American energy dominance, our Republican trifecta is committed to rebuilding and growing our economy. Yet our work extends beyond delivering affordability and prosperity.

The federal government’s addiction to reckless spending has fueled inflation, skyrocketed our national debt, and weakened the dollar. For the sake of future generations, the frailty of our nation’s fiscal house must be addressed swiftly and aggressively. 

In the spirit of returning fiscal sanity to Washington, President Trump created the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Led by Elon Musk, DOGE offers a unique yet commonsense approach to slashing unnecessary government programs, eliminating bureaucratic waste, and reining in out-of-control deficit spending.

As a member of the House Appropriations Committee, I look forward to working with the Trump Administration and my conservative colleagues to implement DOGE’s recommendations through budget reconciliation and the annual appropriations process. While this work will be challenging, it is vital to the health of our economy and the future of our nation.

The success of America’s new chapter is rooted in delivering tremendous wins, such as border security, reduced government spending, and economic prosperity. Yet enacting this America First agenda won’t be possible without President Trump.

Washington, D.C. is long overdue for bold, unapologetic leadership that prioritizes our nation’s founding principles, our shared values, and our promising future. Unlike career politicians infused in partisan politics, President Trump stands with hardworking Americans who have been left behind by Washington elites for decades. 

President Trump’s America First agenda is for every American who dreams of a safer, more prosperous nation. His fresh, commonsense policies counter the status quo — proving he doesn’t cater to special interests or political insiders.

In other words, he is working to improve the lives of we, the people.

Federal departments and agencies will finally abandon weaponized agendas. The Pentagon will finally replace wokeness with lethality. Our Constitution and unalienable freedoms will finally be championed by those entrusted to protect and defend them. And peace through strength will finally allow America to be both respected and feared on the world stage once again.

As we enter a new Golden Age, President Trump is the leader we need to rebuild, restore, and reignite America. 

Our country is ready for President Trump to finish the work he started. Brighter days are ahead, and America will rise stronger than ever before.
