WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Andrew Clyde (GA-09) released the following statement after voting for House Republicans’ budget resolution, H.Con.Res. 14, which ultimately passed the House this evening by a vote of 217-215.

 

“House Republicans’ budget resolution provides a winning blueprint for Congress to deliver on President Trump’s America First agenda,” said Clyde. “With the victorious passage of our fiscal framework, we’ve unlocked the budget reconciliation process needed to slash government spending, extend the 2017 Trump tax cuts, and bolster border security. From the outset, House Republicans have worked to ensure our budget resolution lays the foundation for fully achieving President Trump’s key priorities in both a swift and fiscally responsible manner. I remain focused on championing these principles in our work ahead, and I look forward to successfully fulfilling our shared promises to the American people.”
