GAINESVILLE, GA— Yesterday, Congressman Andrew Clyde (GA-09) hosted a reception at his Gainesville District Office to announce and celebrate the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of the 2022 Congressional Art Competition for Georgia’s Ninth District.
The winners include:
First Place: Grayson Harris, a Junior at Lanier Christian Academy | Submission Title: “Pecking Order”
Second Place: Iris Ong, a Senior at Gainesville High School | Submission Title: “Building on a Legacy”
Third Place: Julia Pils, a Freshman at Lanier Christian Academy | Submission Title: “Sunset Tea”
“Congratulations to Grayson on her outstanding accomplishment! I look forward to her artwork being placed in the U.S. Capitol for all of our visitors, staff, and Members of Congress to enjoy,” said Clyde. “Additionally, I’d like to congratulate Iris and Julia for also placing in this exciting competition by submitting stellar designs. Thank you to all of the students in the Ninth who participated in this year’s competition. We truly have some incredibly talented and creative young artists!”
